Depending on the climate at home, some outdoor sowing is already possible in April. However, if there are still frequent night frosts, most varieties must still be cultivated indoors. The young plants will then already have a good head start on
growth when they can be transplanted into the bed in mid-May after the Ice Saints. This sowing set contains organic seeds for the following crops:
  • Cucumber 'Tanja' (Cucumis sativus)

    Very high-yielding, robust Brussels sprout variety that promises a rich harvest into the winter.
  • Cantaloupe Melon 'Retato Degli Ortolani' (Organic) (Cucumis melo)
    Green-skinned, small net melons with orange, aromatic flesh.
  • Golden Bantam Maize (Organic) (Zea mays)
    Maize is one of the most important cereal plants of the world. It was holy to the Indian tribes, which cultivated maize. 'Golden Bantam' is an open-pollinated sweetcorn variety.
  • Monks Cress (Organic) (Tropaeolum majus)
    The garden nasturtium grows as an annual plant with garland-like, trailing stems and lots of extraordinarily large, vibrant orange-yellow flowers, in our climate. Their sharp flavour is surprisingly pronounced and not unlike cress.
