This seed set contains 5 very typical Italian vegetables, which you can grow yourself in Central Europe:

• Florence fennel 'Romanesco' (organic) (Foeniculum vulgare var. azoricum)
  'Romanesco' is a delicious Italian fennel plant variety originating from the Florence region.
• Black kale 'Cavolo Nero di Toscana' (organic) (Brassica oleracea var. palmifolia)
  'Nero di Toscana' is a robust and very decorative Tuscan palm tree kale variety and tastes lovely in a diverse range of dishes.
• Pole Bean 'Borlotto Lingua Di Fuoco' (organic) (Phaseolus vulgaris)
  The 'Borlotto Lingua Di Fuoco' is an exceedingly decorative string bean variety from Italy.
• Globe artichoke 'Imperial Star' (organic) (Cynara scolymus)
  Artichokes are often used for Italian antipasti but we also see them more often in flowerbeds in domestic gardens these days. The unusual looking plant, with its austere stature and its beautiful purple-green heads, has grown in appreciation for being an exotic eye-catcher.
• Radicchio 'Palla Rossa' (organic) (Cichorium intybus var. foliosum)
  'Palla Rossa' is a classic radicchio variety, with the typical dark red-white veined leaves and the unique, slightly bitter tasting flavour.
